Breaking news - it’s official: delegating makes you happy

Or more specifically, having more time by delegating the things you don’t enjoy or don’t have time for, makes you happy. And that’s more happy than having material goods, as it turns out in recent research.

It’s what we all knew, but it’s great to have the scientists back it up.

Reported on this morning’s BBC News, and published by The National Academy of Sciences of the USA, the article refers to people in a ‘time famine’ where the daily demands on their lives create stress and insomnia.

"In a series of surveys we find that people who spend money to buy themselves more free time are happier - that is they have higher life satisfaction," said Dr Elizabeth Dunn, a psychologist professor at the University of British Columbia, Canada.
