3 tools to help you do less and achieve more

If you struggle to plan nutritious yet tasty meals the whole family will enjoy, there’s an app for that. And if you’re on the lookout for a varied mix of half-term activities for your children, there’s an app for that too.

Technology has reached every aspect of life, and the best tech tools can be a lifeline for those constantly torn between demands from work and home.

But with so many apps available to download, the hard part is finding the really outstanding ones. At Consider it Done, we work hard to remove the biggest conflicts on our clients’ time, which is why we’ve pulled together 3 of our favourite apps to help you do less and achieve more.

App 1: Samsung Food

When you’ve been working late at the office, there’s nothing worse than coming home to an empty fridge. Now, you must add ‘plan dinners’ and ‘go grocery shopping’ to your ever-growing to-do list for the week ahead.

With Samsung Food (available for iOS and Android), you can save digital recipes from any website, keeping them all in one place, and then convert these with a few clicks to weekly meal plans and shopping lists. A brilliant way to stay one step ahead!

App 2: Hoop

The half-term school holidays may be a break for the children, though not always for parents. Keeping your children occupied and happy, even for a few days, requires thought, research and planning. Something parents already swamped by meetings and project deadlines don’t have the time or capacity for.

Instead of spending hours scrolling through online forums in the hope of finding the perfect half-term activities, download the Hoop app. Hoop makes it easy to find and book local activities for children from newborn to 18 years. With 100,000+ activities and an abundance of parent reviews, finding the perfect half-term activity for your children just became a whole lot easier.

App 3: Pocket

Have you ever been engrossed in a long-read article, but ran out of time to finish reading it? Then, when you do have a moment to pick up the article again, it’s no longer in your search history?

Pocket prevents the need to keep sending yourself links and store bookmarks. With Pocket, you can save news articles, interviews and even the classics to finish reading later. You can also listen to articles on Pocket with the app’s audio playback option and find recommended reads curated specially for you.

Honourable mentions: In case you’re new to the CiD blog page, you may be interested to know that we’ve shared articles in the past about 1Password and email cleaner apps such as Trimbox. These can also help you make every second of your day count.

Add more value to your life with smart apps

Apps are continually playing a vital role in our lives, saving us time and adding more value. Whatever ‘must do’ tasks you’re struggling to fit into your day, it’s likely there’s an app that can help. Though as always, if it’s a human you really need, our amazing team of PAs are on hand for invaluable home-life support.
