Mother’s Day lunch (this year without stress and tantrums)

Firstly, a friendly reminder Mothering Sunday in the UK for 2025 is on 30th March.

Which also happens to be the day the clocks spring forward an hour (we’ll be on BST).

Make a note now, because forget and you’ll arrive late for lunch.

(You might also like to check out our blog ‘How to overcome the effects of ‘springing forward’).

Back to the matter in hand.

Going out for a celebration family lunch on Mother’s Day where noone has to cook or clean up afterwards seems an obvious choice.

But finding somewhere to eat out in London where all ages are catered for and Mum can still be the centre of attention, can be a challenge.

True to form, Consider it Done’s Dining Concierge has served up some brilliant suggestions.

Don’t forget to book and secure a table as soon as you can.

@CidClients: we’re standing by ready to help with your table reservation, just message the team.

1.) Blacklock

With 5 London locations, plus Manchester, you’ll have a good chance of finding a table still available near you.

A personal favourite of our Dining Concierge - “Lots of meat, lots of fun, great for kids and teenagers.”

‘Skinny chops’ ideal for kids, Sunday Roasts and an ’All in’ sharing option for those less sure what they like.

Served with hearty sides and sauces.

2.) Rosa’s Thai

Loads of UK wide restaurants, (25 in London alone) means plenty of last minute availablity if you haven’t managed to book anywhere yet.

Authentic Thai flavours, in casual welcoming surroundings.

An all day menu with everyone’s tastes and dietary needs catered for.

Including a kids menu and colouring to keep them busy while the food is prepared.

3.) Gordon Ramsay’s Bread St Kitchen at St Paul’s

If you’re looking for somewhere smart casual, where the kids are looked after too, this one’s hard to beat.

Delicious food for grown-ups, and children’s mains are on the house. (Also see The Kids’ Table below).

4.) Bebe Bob

If a nod to Art Deco glamour is more your Mum’s style, she’ll love Bebe Bob.

Located on Golden Square, where Soho meets Mayfair.

Neatly combining fried chicken and caviar, open for Sunday lunch and very accommodating of kids (‘chicken feet’ jelly sweets arrive at the end of the meal!).

5.) The Kids Table

A genius concept where grown ups can relax over lunch, while kids are kept entertained and supervised. The fun is free to the children of dining customers. Min age 3 years.

With 41 participating locations across London and the UK, (including Gordon Ramsey’s Bread St Kitchen), there are masses of restaurant choices to meet every culinary taste.

Check operating times and request ‘The Kids’ Table’ when you book with the venue.

Pro tip: you can book The Kids’ Table for private parties and weddings too. Fantastic!
